Adding Apples App Reviews

20 Customer Reviews:

This game is very good for those children who are just starting their math journey in addition. It does give you an option of choosing the sum value you wish to review. I would like to see this program expanded to cover all basic operations. The encouraging voice after successfully solving the question can get boring after a while. It would be nice to see the artificial voice be given a larger base of encouraging phrases OR even add to this game a break option.

Adding Apples combines attractive 3D graphics with a fun learning activity. The amount of interactivity and the rewards system are sure to keep a childs interest.

Great app - my 2 daughters (ages 5 & 3) really like it. Its already starting to show positive results in helping to build their basic math skills. Just an FYI - hit CMD + F to take app out of full screen mode.

This is a very kid friendly app. The curser is a large finger and very easy to find visually. When the calculator is activated, the apples appear. The correct (or incorrect) answer is then chosen. If it is correct, a coin is inserted into the bank. The only suggestion I could make would be that the apples remain in some sort of order so they can be more easily counted. Very cute though!

Cool app. My 4yr. old has down syndrome and I quickly showed him. He thouroughly enjoyed the apples and the music. We counted up to 6 + 6 = 12. I believe he will enjoy learning this app. Thank you.

Wonderful App! My little guy really enjoys playing. Self explanitory so I dont have to do anything. Plus it gets him ready for the concept of using a calculator.

My daughter, who has moderate intellectual disabilities and cries when she is asked to do math, absolutely LOVED this app! She quickly and independently worked her way to a bronze trophy prize. I have never seen her work math problems without any kind of complaint, so this engaging app was a miraculous breakthrough for us. The way the counting is structured, with the apples wrapping in paper, meant she did not lose her place or arrive at the wrong answer. Well done!! The only things that would make this better would be to allow other kinds of fruit or veggies and to allow it to be set for up to 20 + 20.

My son loves this game and the 2 year old wants to play it too. Weve had it about 24 hours and Im already starting to see simple addition problems become easier for him. Theres nothing like drill, and this game makes it fun.

My granddaughter loves playing it all the time, and shes in kindergarten. She got more excited when she was awarded the bronze medal.

My daughter is 4 and is in love with this app. She played for 15 minutes and is at the Bronze already. Very easy to use. She loved the piggy bank feature.

My 4 and 2 year old boys love this app. This is the app that my 2 year old requests most. He cannot add yet, but he loves trying. Both boys find this game very engaging. Whoever wrote this really knew what would draw preschoolers in. Thank you!

This app would be much better if the apples being added together didnt roll into one group. Great for teaching the concept of addition. usually quickly learned. BUT the app would be much better if the apples in starting group were kept separate from the group being added. Thus, clearly illustrating addition facts, which - after being visualized - can be memorized.

My daughter has not been wanting to do much studying lately. This app has made learning fun for her again. I love being able to give her a different choice that is like a game, not another worksheet or flashcards.

This is a nice game. The apples should stay separate so it would be easier to count. The biggest problem is how do you turn it off? There is no x or stop or done button. I dont know if I will keep or delete this because of the no way to turn it off.

Good game motivation

My son (age 5) was highly motivated by wanting to get the trophy. Great use of game motivation for good!

my name is leah and Im 6 yrs old. Me and my 2 yr old brother loves this game and counting all the apples. I especially like winning trophies and wished you add more trophies and being able to add higher.

It would be nice if the purchase of all 3 Math Games on my MBP would apply to the iPad as well. If I had known this, I would have only purchased them for the iPad. Not worth paying $18 to be able to have access on both.

Love this game! My granddaughter who just turned four loves counting the apples! One of her favorite foods. She does a great job! I appreciate the fact that she is learning along with having fun!

Bought this app for our kindergarten level grandson, however he has already surpassed the app and is bored. It’s GREAT for kids just starting to learn counting and recognizing the numbers on the screen. But once basic math skills for 1 through 9 are learned, there is no further challenge in this game. For $2.99 it kept him interested for about 15 minutes. Now I’m off to search for another app. Wish this one grew with him and offerend more challenges.
